Rat 2, Dan 0. This time the rat(s?) got the bait without springing the trap. Maybe they will get so fat on peanut butter that they won't be able to waddle away from me when I finally see one.
If the spring loaded ones aren't working, I think you may have to "spring" for the electronic gadget after all! Are you setting the trap snug right up against the wall? Rats are nearly blind so the creep along the walls. Gross. True but gross.
(Un)fortunately the spring loaded trap worked. Thankfully the boys and Suzy weren't around for the carnage. At least Suzy's tomatoes are safe from predation.
